The factors that cause depression are well-known and well-studied, but the exact cause is unknown. Some of the factors that increase the likelihood of people experiencing depression have been discovered in new research.

SIMPLE WAYS TO AVOID DEPRESSION - PART 2

● Stress:

First and foremost, depression can be triggered by any stressful circumstance or climate. It can be anything from changes in jobs, moving from one location to another, and even the fear of the unknown. Also, social tension to finding a job, relationship problems, financial worries, staying up late, an out-of-control lifestyle, school stresses, and achieving good grades may all contribute to depression. The list goes on and on. Although these experiences are unavoidable, we must develop an appropriate stress management strategy in order to succeed even in the face of difficulties because these circumstances will never go away. Situations that are stressful are constantly evolving.

● Lack of sleep:

According to studies, up to 40% of adults do not get enough sleep each night, and up to 71% of students have sleep disorders or lack of sleep.

A person's health depends on getting enough sleep. The body heals and reorganizes its thoughts while sleeping. Sleep deprivation leads to a loss of brain wave coherence. This situation sometimes results in depression. The body's normal rhythms are often disrupted by sleeping during the day and staying up late. This can result in feelings of depression.

Alcohol and Drugs:

Depressed people are more likely to use drugs and alcohol. When these drugs are consumed at a young age, they may have a damaging effect on a person's brain. These drugs make a person feel good for a short time, but most people become addicted to them.

In the pleasure region of the brain, drugs release dopamine. Delicious food, for example, increases dopamine production by about 50%. Drugs, on the other hand, can increase dopamine release by four to ten times. After the high wears off, this unnatural high almost always leads to depression. The most effective way to damage the brain is to use drugs.

Drugs are more likely to make you sad than happy. This effect will spiral downward until the person taking drugs craves more and more of the substance in order to break the cycle of depression that follows each high, and addiction will be born.

SIMPLE WAYS TO AVOID DEPRESSION - PART 2

Here are a few strategies for avoiding depression:

-Sleep is a major aspect of avoiding depression. Maintain a healthy lifestyle by getting enough rest and exercise on a daily basis. The average person requires seven to eight hours of sleep a day.

-The brain can work at a higher level with the aid of sunlight and exercise. Make time to enjoy the sun and try to remain busy as much as possible throughout the day.

-Don't force yourself too far. Maintain a healthy level of stress and aim to avoid stressors wherever possible. If this isn't possible, try to deal with the stressors in a way that reduces the amount of harm they do.

-Maintain a sense of routine in your life. Organize the tasks such that they occur at predictable and frequent intervals. Your body will have time to adjust to the activities if your weekly, regular, or monthly routine is established. Depression would be less likely to develop as a result.

-Make it a point to eat at least one warm meal per day. When it comes to avoiding depression, healthy eating habits and overall wellbeing are crucial.

-Avoid alcohol and drugs. They can seem appealing, but all they do is generate havoc in a person's life.

-Have fun every day. Nothing takes the load off of depression like some good old fun time. Chatting, joining a support group, sports, and other interests are all examples of social events that can help to heal a depressed and busy mind.

Depression can be prevented and handled, and the process can be enjoyable. Follow the advice above to have a brighter and happier day every day. You'll look and feel happier as a result.

ALL THE BEST AND GOD BLESS 🙏
